Beta testers can opt-in through the Software Update section of the System Settings app. Under Beta updates, simply toggle on the Sonoma Public Beta. Note that you must sign up to participate on Apple's beta testing website.

‌macOS Sonoma‌ 14.2 adds Messages sticker reactions, which make it quicker to add a sticker or an emoji to an iMessage. It also includes support for collaborative Apple Music playlists, allowing multiple people to add songs to a single playlist.

There's a new Favorites ‌Apple Music‌ playlist as well, better support for Messages in iCloud syncing, and iMessage Contact Key Verification for people who face extraordinary digital threats.

I really want to format my mac to clean it up a little, but I'm waiting for a decent release of Sonoma, as I'm not going back to Ventura.
I think I'll go with 14.2 when it'll become public.

WOW. Tim Cook was not kidding when he said all new development on the next versions of IOS and macOS were being put on hold to FIX BUGS in the current software!

He did not say that.

Beta testing can be fun, as long as you don't mind possibly losing your data. Try at your own risk. But other Mac users will appreciate you reporting bugs to Apple before they affect them.
It's not all that bad. :D
As long as you create an external ASR (Apple Software Restore) volume using TimeMachine, CCC or something else. You can alway go as far as a DFU restore (factory reset/wipe of FW/OS) at a Apple Store with a appointment if your not already proficient at doing that and get right back to the recent MacOS environment (OS/Applications/User pref/data) of your choice. There are rare times something like this is what you need to do, but it's just something that can happen even with a public seed also. :)

Broken in 14.2 beta 2, or broken in 14 in general?
Continuity was already broken on the preceding version also. At least with my combination: iPhone XR( ios 17.1) and MBA 15" ( Sonoma 14.1) Widgets crashed on 14.2 Beta 2
